Vegetable stew with TVP and homemade biscuits on the side.
I know it's hot here, but I wanted stew and biscuits so I made some!

Sounds good to me! I was thinking about making chili soon, actually, so I'm the same - I make what I want, temps be damned!
OH....the coconut lime cookies were made tonight! They're actually a little sweet for me, so next time I'll fix that, but otherwise...YUM. i've had at least 4 already. Must. Stop. Eating. Cookies!
No wonder your sister only brought you two! She probably meant to bring five or six and ate a few of them on the way. That's what I would have done! :D
It was really good and hit the spot. This was the first time I made homemade biscuits too (remember, I don't really bake!). They were really easy! I didn't roll it out and cut out circles. Instead I just divided the dough into 6ths, rolled and flattened each by hand.
I was going to comment on the biscuits - I've only tried once, and failed miserably! So I was going to call you a poser for claming you weren't good with dough! :p
What recipe did you use for the biscuits? Maybe I'll give them a try again. Though I'm not so much of a biscuit person that I'd care if I never had biscuits again!
Canadian gal living in the good ol' USA and totally obsessed with food!
I tend to cook by taste as I go along and rarely use or write out recipes.
Veganism is easy and the right thing to do. Need help? See some of the links below or leave me a comment.
